The Great Indian Blogging Contest

As a part of AKLF 2015, The Times of India is presenting "The Great Indian Blogging Contest" – an initiative to commemorate humour in literature. Bloggers are invited to blog on the theme, "The Great Indian Chamcha" – an ode to the culture of sycophancy that runs deepest in politics but has slowly become a part of daily life. This is a much-celebrated platform to bring your literary skills to the fore, a stage to showcase your wit & sense of humour. So, pen down your thoughts and send in your blog link with your mobile number to toikolkata14@gmail.com. Winners will be declared and felicitated at the Bloggers Meet on 16th January at Oxford Book Store, Park Street, 2:30 pm.

The Great Indian Chamcha

Eligibility of the blogger:

1. The blogger should blog in English. If the blogger blogs in any other language, it should come with a translation.
2. The blog can be a first attempt to blog writing.
3. The blogger should be more than 15 years of age.

Blogging rules:

1. The write-up should be a humorous take on The Great Indian Chamcha – an ode to the culture of sycophancy that runs deepest in politics but has slowly become a part of daily life.
2. The blog should be within 500 words.
3. The blog should necessarily have an image in it, with proper source/courtesy mentioned (preferably with a link back).
4. It should mention the intent of the blog post as being “an entry to the The Great Indian Blogging Contest, as a part of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival 2015.” With backlinks to http://www.aklf.in, http://www.facebook.com/GreatIndianCircus & http://www.kolkatabloggers.com/.
5. It should neither explicitly hurt regionalist nor religious sentiments.
6. The decision by the jury shall be deemed as non-negotiable and final. 
7. The Blogger should share their bog on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag “#AKLF2015” & “#thegreatindianchamcha”. 
8. The post should be an original content written by the blogger and should neither be copied from any other post/ blog nor be a guest blog post.
